Measured July 2026. Source: Semrush AI Visibility scores covering ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity and Gemini. Legency's edition covers 63 selected brands, four of them below the tracking threshold.
Buyers increasingly open an AI assistant before they open a search results page. When they ask which KYC vendor to use or which treasury platform is best, the engine names a handful of companies. This edition compares the provider's visibility scores for a selected set of fintech and AI brands. Read the date, market and scoring method alongside the results. Our answer engine optimization work also uses a separate client panel with dated answers to specific buyer questions.

This edition uses the questions and topic coverage available in the source dataset. It is separate from our client monitoring panel, where we record a defined set of buyer questions and the dated answers.
Scores use the source provider’s 0 to 100 visibility scale. In the July sample, 14 was the lowest returned score and four brands fell below tracking. These are observations about this dataset, not a universal scoring threshold.
Every score sits beside its category best: the strongest sources answering those same questions today. In most categories that is a review site, a bank or a publisher rather than a vendor.
An AI brand index, or brand visibility index, compares a defined sample at a recorded time. The July results cannot establish conversion impact or predict the next answer a buyer sees. Geography, question selection and provider coverage can change the result. Our monthly client answer panel is a separate measurement and should be compared on its own terms.
We scored 63 B2B brands (this edition's category: fintech and AI) on how often each one appears when a buyer asks an AI engine which product to use. The category average came back at 22 out of 100. One brand has claimed its answer. Everyone else is still available.
Wise scores 78 out of 100. The next best, Adyen, sits at 45, and every other brand in the index is under 40. Wise is also the only one of the 63 that outperforms the strongest answer sources in its own category.
Chime scores 74 in the US and 39 worldwide. Ramp scores 67 against 27, Plaid 64 against 28, Brex 64 against 26. The answer a buyer gets changes with the continent they are asking from, and almost nobody defends both.
56 of the 59 scored brands sit below the strongest answer sources in their own category. Review sites, banks and publishers hold those answers today, which means the vendor is absent from the moment the buyer is deciding.
Treasury, KYC, WealthTech and RegTech all average in the teens. The first brand to claim one of those categories becomes the default answer inside it, and defaults compound with every answer that gets generated.

The Index is a standing research programme rather than a one-off study. Each edition takes a single category, scores the brands competing inside it, and publishes the shape of the field.
The July 2026 edition covers fintech and AI, a category whose buying questions are unusually well defined, which makes it a clean first measurement. Later editions take other B2B categories. Our fintech and AI engagements draw on the same data.
More verticals follow as editions publish. The question set stays stable between runs, so a score that shifts between editions shifted because the answers shifted. Every edition carries the month it was measured, and any question added to the set gets noted in it.
We will pull your score, the scores of the companies answering the same buying questions in your category, and the three moves that would change yours. It runs on the same four-engine panel we work from every month for clients, across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. Twenty minutes, and there is no charge for it.
An AI visibility index compares a defined set of brands using a recorded source, market and date. Our July 2026 edition uses Semrush AI Visibility scores for 63 fintech and AI brands. Scores run from 0 to 100; they are a provider-defined index, not a percentage of every AI answer.
This edition uses Semrush AI Visibility scores from July 2026, alongside category benchmarks and market comparisons. A score is a provider-defined index, not the share of every AI answer. Our separate client panel records dated answers to selected buyer questions and distinguishes a brand mention from a linked citation.
The published edition was measured in July 2026. A future edition will carry its own date, source, market and coverage. Compare editions only after checking whether those inputs changed; this page does not present the July scores as current live results.
